Oil & Gas Sector UT – Shear Wave UT (Metric Version) Carbon Steel

This “NEW” UT Training and Testing of Flawed Specimen Kit is the premier preparation tool for the API QUTE – Detection, QUSE – Sizing and the ASNT ISQ Oil & Gas Sector Shear Wave exams. This kit was designed and manufactured to emulate the API & ASNT OGUTSW4 Rev 00 Protocols.

The Kit assists in the training and testing of UT Technicians for both Conventional and PAUT.

MATERIAL – Carbon Steel, A36 plate and A106B pipe SMLS, For special alloy request by mail.

Kit contains 4 Specimens

(1) Single V Plates : 8mm (T) x 250mm (W) x 300mm (L)

(1) Single V Plates : 25mm (T) x 300mm (W) x 380mm (L)

(1) Single V pipe : Ø219mm Sch 40 (360°) Wall Thickness 8mm x 200mm (L)

(1) Single V Pipe : Ø324mm Sch 80 (180°) Wall Thickness 14mm x 300mm (L)

Flaws:

• Total of 12 flaws

• Flaws are randomly placed ~2-4 each specimen.

• Flaw placements will be mixed for multiple kit purchases
